ENIAC VENTURES RAISES US$100M FUND AND HAS SIGHTS ON CHATBOTS
Eniac Ventures has a new $100 million venture fund, the fourth since the group formed in 2009. The seed-stage firm plans to use the money to invest in augmented reality, virtual reality, chatbots, robotics and other software-enabled technologies. A study by CB Insights found that Eniac-backed companies go from seed to Series A funding faster than any other venture firm.
Nihal Mehta, founding general partner at Eniac says that they help the startups make it to the next step by acting as unofficial “co-founders” to their investments. Nihal stated:
“We do everything that they want us to.”

OCBC BANK USES CHATBOT TO GENERATE £5.8M INCOME IN 3 MONTHS
Oversea-Chinese Banking Corporation, headquarters based in Singapore, launched its Emma Chatbot for providing home loans advice and transactions. Within a three-
month period, Emma has completed £5.8m of home loan deals. The Emma Chatbot is available on desktops, laptops and smart mobile devices. It was jointly developed by OCBC’s home loans team and CogniCor as part of its Fintech accelerator programme.
